Franchise Magazines

Overview

Franchise Update Media has published industry-leading franchise publications for over three decades, telling the story of successful franchise professionals through two quarterly magazines, Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine and Franchise Update Magazine, as well as the annual Multi-Unit Franchisee Buyer's Guide. As Creative Director, I absorbed and centralized creative control to ensure brand consistency across all publications. I built new templates aligned to current brand standards, established an organized filing system to streamline editorial workflow, and trained the editorial team on best practices. Working closely with my senior designer, I transformed incoming editorial copy into compelling, visually rich articles, collaborating with editors through to final print deadlines. I managed the printer relationship from paper selection and bidding through file submission and production, overseeing each issue until it hit mailboxes. I also produced and uploaded digital editions to Issuu, integrating them into the franchising.com website, and maintained a complete archive of all finalized files on the cloud server.
